Changes to TFU Handbook - MAY 2026
Captain Jacob Matthews is currently the Commanding Officer the whole division of the Tactical Firearms Unit. His roles are to oversee the whole division as well as bringing up new ideas to further improve the division. In addition to this, Captain Jacob Matthews is responsible for maintaining the application process of TFU, as well as all its documents, including updating the TFU handbook regularly. Reinstatements and Resignations are also handled by The Head of TFU. Despite his role primarily being behind the scenes work, Captain Jacob Matthews can often be found on Duty performing Tactical Firearms Duties and is open to answer any questions you may have about TFU.
Staff Sergeant Jonathan Gin is responsible for ensuring all Tactical Firearms Trainers are giving a fair, well-run experience to all applicants partaking in their practical assessment. They are also responsible for overseeing the management of how well Tactical Firearms Trainers act and perform in these regards. Both he and Lt. Winters are in charge of organising training sessions by scheduling and hosting them.
Lieutenant Bamidele Faraji-Chiumbo is responsible for overseeing the quality in regards to all TFOs of any level of certification. Their primary duties are dealing with complaints against TFOs, investigating them and making the final decision.
Staff Sergeant Vina Yin is responsible for doing the monthly activity requirements for every STFO and TFIC. Their secondary priorities are assisting Lieutenant Bamidele Faraji-Chiumbo with internal TFU investigations as well as assisting the recruitment team in running and managing practical sessions.
