The HK MP5/10 is a specialised variant of the HK MP5A4, introduced in 1992. It was developed in response to the FBI's need for a more powerful cartridge.
Despite maintaining similar accuracy to its predecessor, the MP5/10 features reduced recoil, allowing for greater control during sustained fire. This makes the MP5/10 a clear upgrade to the MP5A4 for many engagements. However, its availability is limited, only being issued to Tactical Firearms Incident Commanders, making it an uncommon choice within Tactical Firearms Officers.
Though it is not as widely adopted as the MP5A4, the MP5/10 has found relative success within select police departments, including Paralake's team of Incident Commanders, where its enhanced handling makes it a preferred choice for many incidents.
More manageable recoil than the HK MP5A4.
