Changes to TFU Handbook - SEPTEMBER 2025 - RTFO and Policy Updates
This is a "Getting started" page, which helps you grasp all of the overwhelming amounts of information in regards to TFU
Note: This page does not contain all of the policies or handbook pages. It's merely supposed to serve as an overview of the Handbook and the most important sections of it.
The newbies of TFU, who are the most likely ones to get overwhelmed by all of the new information, here are some basic things you have to know:
Only deploy with an Officer who is a fully certified TFO, unless there's an Officer panic or Mass Casualty Incident (One or two life alerts from civilians do not count).
Do not loiter around or inside PD, waiting for a gear slot.
You can only stay in gear at PD if you've been given permission by a supervisor to do so.
Regardless of your PD rank, you're subordinate to any TFU Officer certified higher than you, during active incidents whilst in gear.
Familiarise yourself with the "Equipment" part of the Handbook. REMEMBER: Your job is to learn, not to lead necessarily,
Familiarise yourself with the "Situation & Tactics" part of the Handbook. This is important so you can better coordinate with other TFOs.
The core principles of TFU are to be always followed.
Follow all orders given to you by fully certified TFU Officers or Officers who are higher in rank.
Important policies: Handbook - Certifications - Recruit | Recruit Policy | TFU Policy | Internal Disciplinary Policy

When no one is leading an incident: Be the leader, do not wait to be led by someone else.
Lead by example,
Show your skills by displaying your professionalism first.
Do not use sniper rifles for close-quarter combat - unless switching to a secondary is not possible.
