The HK UMP (Universal Machine Pistol) Series is a series of Polymer-based German Sub machine guns designed as a replacement for the MP5 series. Whilst it did not replace the series entirely, It has seen relative success with many agencies, Including the Paralake Police Department.

The Paralake Police Department use the UMP45 Variant, chambered in .45ACP, as a slower firing, lower capacity alternative to the MP5. Whilst the MP5 fills the need for a high rate of fire, versatile submachine gun with relatively less stopping power, The UMP Fills the niche of a controllable, Slower firing Sub Machine gun with greater stopping power.

Pros:

• Great stopping power thanks to its .45ACP chambering.

• Very Controllable due to its rate of fire.

• Being an SMG, It has less crossfire or collateral risk.

Cons:

• Slower fire rate than many other CQB Oriented firearms in the arsenal.

• Lesser magazine capacity than most other automatic weapons available to TFU.

• Only has semi and full auto, unlike the MP5's additional burst setting.
