The HK MP5 series is an Iconic, long established Sub Machine gun, Seeing use for over 50 years amongst Police departments, Militaries and Security agencies. It is the longest serving Sub Machine Gun in the Department.
The MP5A4 Excels in CQB oriented combat, and in tense situations where crossfire needs to be avoided. Hostage Rescue teams often employ the use of MP5's for this reason, as to prevent innocent people being shot by overpenetration.
It is one of the few available firearms with a 4 way selector switch, allowing both 3 round burst and full auto fire. This allows its operators far more control over their fire than other available options.
Low penetration prevents risk of crossfire, Collateral damage, and unintentionally striking targets through certain walls.
Adaptable due to its fire rate and fire control options.
Low sound profile and controllable with practice.
9x19mm does not have much penetration being a pistol round, Meaning it is poor at stopping vehicles or returning fire through walls.
Damage tradeoff at a distance or if firing through penetrable surfaces.
With high rate of fire comes the downside of handling, The firearm is difficult to control for some.
